Bio
Cliff commenced his piping career at the age of six years old and began competing at the age of 12. It was not long after when he enjoyed his first success by winning the Champions of Champions, a highly acclaimed competition, with the world famous Pride of Murray Pipe Band. Cliff has continued to maintain his high level of musicianship and outstanding professionalism to this day. He has also gained vast experience playing at weddings, funerals, birthdays, corporate events all over the country and overseas. In the recent past he has been Pipe Sergeant of the Pride of Murray Pipe Band, and currently competes within a high performing pipe band based in London.
Cliff is also a very experienced tutor and mentor. Both personally and within the band setting, Cliff teaches all age groups from beginner through to advanced.

What made you learn?
“Cliff found his dad’s old practice chanter when he was six years old. His dad taught him the basics and at the age of eight he treated Cliff to some private lessons. Receiving his first set of bagpipes on his ninth birthday, the bagpipe bug had truly started and as quick as you know it, Cliff was entering the competition field at the age of 12 with the Speedbird Pipe Band. Cliff has never looked back”
