Ian

Ian began his musical career on the Great Highland Bagpipes then progressed to Scottish Smallpipes and Whistles. He has performed at various events all over the world, including Scotland, England, Moscow, Berlin, Bremen and Mexico to name a few.

Ian was the Pipe Major of Drumlough Pipe Band Hillsborough and under his musical guidance they won the All Ireland, British and Scottish Championships. This was a great achievement.

Ian’s most recent musical creation was the stage show, ‘Music and Songs of the
Trenches’ to commemorate the events of what was billed as the “War to End All Wars”. This production featured an array of tunes played by famous bagpipers who served in the Trenches.

Ian is also a member of the Willie Drennan Folk Band with whom he has played all over the UK and Europe.
