Bio

Linton started learning the bagpipes aged 6 and was fortunate to be taught by William M Macdonald of Inverness, a multiple Piobaireachd World Champion during the 1950s.

Over the past 30 years, Linton has played at all sorts of occasions, including; Weddings, New Year’s Eve Celebrations and Burns Nights, as well as having success in Bagpipe Competitions all over Europe.

What made you learn?

“Linton lived in Nairn near Inverness in the early 90s and a boy at school asked, “Are you coming to pipe practise tonight?”. Linton had no idea what he meant, but when he said bagpiping his ears pricked up. “That’s easy” Linton thought. Little did he know how much hard work and effort it would be to actually pick up and play a full set of Highland Bagpipes. Linton has never looked back”
