Introducing Craig
Bio
Craig has had a long and successful piping career spanning over 40 years, first learning to play the pipes at the age of ten. Since then, piping has taken him all over North America, Europe and the UK both on tours, competing and for a period, commuting to Los Angeles to play in The LA Scots, at that time the USA’s only Grade 1 band. He has since re-joined the LA Scots and is currently competing
with them in both the US & UK.
His most notable achievements are from the time spent in Northern Ireland playing in Grade 1, with Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band where he won every Major Championship including the World Championship in 2004. Other Northern Ireland Bands include the Royal Ulster Constabulary.
Additionally, Craig has throughout his piping career played at Weddings, Funerals, Parties of every kind, and Burns Nights and Corporate events. He is also a member of the folk rock group Gaelforce, playing at concerts & folk festivals
nationally & internationally.
Craig is the personal piper to the Chieftan of Clan Mackintosh at Moy Hall, Inverness, as was his father before him, and is called upon to play at both Clan & Family events throughout the year.
