“Bagpiper for hire in East Sussex”
Hire a bagpiper in East Sussex – it couldn’t be simpler. East Sussex was once immersed in battle. Forces clashed in 1066 seeing King Harold II defeated by William the Conqueror at what we now call the ‘Battle of Hastings’. East Sussex isn’t only known for its momentous historic events, it’s also home to one of the biggest seaside towns in England, Brighton, known for its famous pier, bohemian style, and of course, rock candy.
Grandeur is at the heart of the East Sussex way of life, housing some of the largest historic houses and buildings, including the Royal Pavilion in Brighton, Anne of Cleves House in Lewes, Wadhurst Castle, and Ashdown Park in Forest Row. Playing in Wadhurst Castle and Ashdown Park was by far one of Matthew’s highlights to date.
The annual Bonfire Night celebration in Lewes hosts an eclectic mix of traditional pagan antics parading down the main streets. Every year bagpipes join the carnival to echo in the night sky. It is a show not to be missed.
