Introducing Gavin
Bio
Gavin has played at the top end of Grade 1 for most of his adult piping career, playing for Clan Gregor Society and then onto Scottish Power Pipe Band where he won the 2018 British championships.
When playing with Paisley Juvenile Pipe Band back in his younger days, Gavin won the World Pipe Championships on two occasions, the European Championships and the Scottish Championships.
As well as various charity events, pipe band concerts, music concerts, weddings, funerals and birthdays, Gavin has been involved in many high profile events including, playing for Scotland’s First Minister in Bilbao in Spain, playing for the National Women’s Scottish Rugby Team, and playing for the National Men’s Scottish Football Team at Hampden Park on multiple occasions.

What made you learn?
“Gavin’s father was a Drum Major and a drummer in the Black Watch army so Gavin was around music all the time. He went to many pipe band competitions growing up which gave Gavin the piping bug. Gavin then commenced tuition at the age of 9”
