Bio

Ian started the chanter in Kyle primary school at the age of 8 receiving lessons from world famous piper Iain Macfadyen. Ian left school at 16 and went straight into the army were he joined the Queen’s own Highlanders Pipe band under the instruction of the great Pipe major Alasdair Gillies for 5 years.

Ian has been back home in Skye and Lochalsh teaching around the schools for the last 20 years.
