In his late teens and early twenties Paul got involved in the artistry community within Cornwall working as an assistant and general help. Here Paul learnt a lot about music and met many top musicians, artists and sculptors. It was here the Paul became immersed in music and bagpiping followed not long after.

What made you learn?
“Paul play’s Flute, Melodeon, Whistle, Bodhran and Border Pipes – When Paul hears a sound that he likes he just has to learn to play that instrument. This happened with the bagpipes when he was in his early 30’s. Paul was working offshore in the North Sea as a Commercial Diver. After a short while he was sent ashore for a break after an accident which left him with concussion. Paul walked past a local hall in Inverness where a pipe band was rehearsing. Paul fell in love with the sound immediately and just had to learn”
