Introducing Robbie
Bio
As a piper, Robbie has played for Grade 1 Scottish Power Pipe Band since the age of 15, and has had a successful career as a solo piper thus far. Winning the Grade 1 British Championship title in 2018 and closing the main stage at ‘T In the Park’ Music Festival are Robbie’s proudest achievements, along with travelling to play in New Zealand and the Kibera region in Kenya.
Other of Robbie’s achievements include being invited to play on board the HMS Prince of Wales, a royal vessel owned by Prince Charles. Also, Robbie has performed for Barrack Obama at the Ryder Cup Gala Dinner and is regularly the lone piper at Hampden Park for national sporting clashes.
Robbie is also an aspiring young entrepreneur who has engineered a new product line within he piping world. His product provides a novel solution to moisture control, something that all high level pipers strive to balance. This product was featured by Robbie on the BBC hit TV show, ‘Dragons’ Den’.
