Introducing Robin T
Bio
Robin has been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe for 12 years. In that time Robin has played at a high level for two pipe bands, including The Doune Pipe Band and The McLaren High School Pipe Band, where he was elected as Pipe major by the head teachers in 2018. During his piping career, Robin has played in band and solo competitions, receiving high accolade in both.
In the Summer of 2019, Robin attended a bagpipe summer school with The College of Piping, this truly catapulted Robin’s playing to the next level.
Robin has played solo at many weddings, funerals, parties, community events and fundraisers. He is also the resident piper of the famous Cromlix Hotel, and many pubs in Glasgow city centre, including; Drouthy’s, Ark Bar, Rhoderick Dhu and The Piper Whisky Bar. Robin will excite the crowd with his high level playing and won’t disappoint.

What made you learn?
“Robin started out his piping life in primary school where everyone was asked to pick an instrument to dabble in. Robin knew that he would love the bagpipes as soon as he made that choice. Every year, him and his family would visit the local Highland Games to hear the bands and he absolutely loved it. The rest is history”
