Introducing Stevie
Bio
At a young age Stevie has always loved the pipes. During his youth he competed and won numerous awards in solo competitions as well as winning awards with several Pipe Bands, the most notable of these being, The Guards Depot Piping School under the instruction of Pipe Major Dixie Ingram.
At 21 he took a step back from competing due to other career commitments but continued to play for personal enjoyment and to entertain friends and family.
After a successful Career in a government agency spanning over 30 years, Stevie reignited his passion for the Great Highland Bagpipes and is now back to doing what he loves most.
Stevie covers all of the UK as well as international bookings and is available for Weddings, Funerals, Corporate events, Birthdays and all other special occasions.
Stevie is the Professional Highland Piper at the Iconic Bamburgh Castle associated with the Netflix series, “The Last Kingdom” , and the “Seven Kings must Die” film. He was the Bamburgh Castle Lone Piper in June 2022 for the late Queen Elizabeth the II Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, as well as being the Castle’s Lone Piper for King Charles the III Coronation Celebrations in May 2023, and regularly plays at the castle for visiting guests.

What made you learn?
“Stevie attended his local Pipe Band Practice night aged 12 with the intention of learning and becoming a fantastic drummer, but as he gazed across the Practice Hall, he saw the Great Highland Bagpipe, it was love at first sight!”
